About

nhungsta
Born in Hanoi, Nhung left Vietnam as a refugee in the late 1970s. Throughout her photographic practice, Nhung’s images continually reflect the displacement in her early life through her questioning of identity and belonging. Narratives in her work are often influenced by her own personal feelings of melancholy and yearning.

Nhung comes from a background in multimedia and is a producer of award winning digital projects, including BAFTA winning “Bow Street Runner” for Channel 4. In 2013 Nhung completed an MA in Photographic Studies at the University of Westminster. Her photographic work has been exhibited internationally in venues such as Tate Britain, De La Warr Pavilion, and Dimbola Lodge; and has been featured in various books and publications.
